Health is the main component of well-being of people. Having recognised this fact, SISS constantly endeavours to look after the health conditions of the people in rural areas in order to enable them to be more productive. As part of its efforts to ensure health and medical care, SISS organised seven eye camps in 2003-04 in the districts of Medak, Nalgonda and Warangal. A total of 24 mandals were covered in these camps and 800 patients were examined out of  whom 146 were operated upon for cataract.

A project on Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) in the district of Mahabubnagar has been prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Social Justice for grant. This proposal was submitted to the Joint Director of social justice in the district.

In 2004-05, under eye care project, SISS regularly conducted eye camps in rural areas and provided free health care to the needy rural poor. This Institute is known in the districts of Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Ranga Reddy for free health and eye camps. Free eye camps benefited over 5,000 people so far and the needy were being brought and provided acute medical care free of cost. Providing health care to the people in rural and remote is areas being a continuous process, SISS is pursuing this goal with all its available means.
